Welcome to CHRIST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH!
We are pleased to have you worship with our family of faith. We offer three distinctly different worship services and know that you will find one that serves your needs. Our 9:00 a.m. Worship Service features our CELEBRATION CHOIR AND RINGERS. The 10:15 a.m. Worship Service, featuring our SUNSHINE GOSPEL SINGERS, is less formal, with congregational singing and community prayer. Our 11:30 a.m. Worship Service features our CHRIST ALIVE PRAISE BAND.
Sunday School for all ages is offered during the 10:15 a.m. hour, plus an additional adult class at the 11:30 a.m. hour, and we have an outstanding nursery available for children from 6 weeks to 4 years of age during all services. Special children’s programs (ages K-6th grade) are available at 9:00 a.m. and at 11:30 a.m.
A special parking space has been designated for our first time guests in the Valwood parking lot, south of the sanctuary entrance. Our friendly greeters will gladly direct you to the sanctuary and education wings. We also have a WELCOME CENTER where you can receive additional information on programming.
From September-May, we have Wednesday Evening programs, beginning with home-cooked meals provided by our Kitchen Committee. This is a wonderful time for all ages to enjoy food, fellowship, and faith.
There are three ways to join our family of faith. The first is by transferring your membership from another Christian Church. Or, you can join by profession of faith or by baptism. When you formally join our congregation, we ask you to make a vow to support our church with your prayers, your presence, your service and gifts. We, then, make a promise to you! Our promise to new members: “We rejoice that our lives are bound together in a common mission to SHARE THE LOVE OF CHRIST among our neighbors and the world. With you, we renew our vows to uphold our church by our prayers, our presence, our gifts, our service and our witness. We offer you ourselves and our love through Jesus Christ.”
You have probably noticed that our mission statement is to SHARE THE LOVE OF CHRIST. Plain and simple. We would be honored to have you and your family join us as we SHARE THE LOVE OF CHRIST with each other, our community, and with the world!
